The world got a first feel of my presence on the 25th of August 1979 in Visakhapatnam. I supposedly was a very cute kid that the neighbours adored and was ever-ready to go with anyone that can take me out of the house for a ride / walk. I have quite a good memory but no good enough to recollect any of the details from my childhood (1-3 yrs). We are a nuclear family ...Mom, Dad, myself and Sis...
Mom...ever enthusiastic, caring, loving, hardworking person
Dad...jovial, like-a-friend, caring, adorable person
Sis...younger to me but my partner in crime, dependable, good listener, studious (unlike me) person
I was then forced to go out of the house...was enrolled in LKG...Lower Kindergarten...when I wasnt even 3 yrs...dont know what my mom and dad were thinking...may be they thought that I would fly through my school years faster and would make it big soon ..heheeh.. little did my parents know abt my future plans Peee-etch-Deee !!!!!!
I did my LKG from Pollacks Primary School and then switched to Kotak School for my UKG and I st Grade. Switching once wasnt enough I guess...so I changed schools once again in 2nd Grade...glad I did that though...well it was my parents decision...I went to Visakha Valley School from IInd - IXth grades. I have fond memories of that part of my schooling..the kind of fun we had in the gym class (called as PT period)...hobbies like stamp and coin collection...first crushes on girls...all in all it was a fun time...miss all those guys now...glad to find a lot of them on Orkut.
Then I made the biggest and most significant move of my life....my family moved to Bombay (yes...i still refrain from referrring to it as mumbai). So in my Xth grade we moved to Bombay and looking back boy!!!!! i am glad that I went to Bombay. The move kind of helped me develop as a person and my exposure to college life in Bombay made me the person I am today. I went to Swami Vivekanand Highschool and Junior College for my X th thru XII th grades. It was fun time for me as I made a lot of good friends both at school and in my colony.
I have memories from Hindustan Petroleum Colony in Mumbai that are adequate for a lifetime...had tonnes of fun with my gang...Goti, Wali, Bats, Boozie, Naga, Patli, Saby, Kummu, Dharu, Pappu just to name a few...I can go on and on abt my colony friends...
Joined VESIT for Electronic Instrumentation Engineering (please dont ask me what that means!!!!!)...from character and personality development aspect I dont think my 4 yrs at college can be bettered !!!!! made tonnes of good friends there Sudhir, Pashu, KG, Rahul , Mahtre, Kau, Neeru, Chachu, Bunty etc....the list goes on here too..by now you might have guessed that I love making friends...as I have too many lists to put up here !!!!!!
After getting my Bachelor's degree i decided to pursue higher / graduate education in Biomedical Engineering. Got my master's degree from the University of Akron. For the first time I was away from home and country all by myself...thanks to roomies and friends I could cope with my life in the US...
Then "along came Sindhu"...she entered my life as a friend but didnt stop there...she stole my heart and settled in it as the love of my life...she has been a tremendous factor in bringing balance into my life...I couldnt have asked for a better life partner...now she is my do-this-do-that-saying wife...naaaah...just kidding...she is a can-do-anything-for-you kind of wife.
Now I am slowly edging towards completion of my PhD...I can see the light at the end of the tunnel but I dont know if its sunlight or begining of another tunnel...hehehehe
